Experience the Thrill of the Abernethy Highland Games

On Games day there are many events and competitions in and around the arena with something happening all the time. From formal Highland Dancing to the traditional Heavy Events; the arduous 10 mile RSPB Abernethy Forest Road Race, competitive Athletics of all sorts and the various Children’s Races.

Pipe Bands take part in a competition for the Abernethy Highland Games Shield, a unique trophy created for the Games by George Bain, one of Scotland’s greatest exponents of Celtic Art.

There are also Solo Piping and Solo Drumming competitions. We would love you to get involved.

Please note only competitors and officials allowed in the arena

To find out more or to get an entry form, see the cards below for each individual event.  You can view the games records and results from previous years on their own dedicated pages.
