Clan Grant
Stand Fast
The Clan Grant Society was founded in 1890. Its aim, like other Clan Societies, is to promote friendship between members, and today connects Grants from all over the world with local events, history and their ancestry.
There are many Scottish Clans, with some 300 Clan Societies and 140 Chiefs registered with the Standing Council of Scottish Chiefs. Interestingly, there are more Scots abroad than in Scotland, so the Clans, including Grant, have a strong following in the USA, Canada and Australia, supported by local Clan Societies.
Members of the Clan Grant have historically attended the Abernethy Games, as we are in the heart of Grant Country. On Games Day they share their tent with the Grantown Museum, who provide Great Ancestry Research, local history, exhibitions and products. Anyone interested is welcome to visit the tent.
The Society is open to all Grants or those with Grant ancestry, possibly on their maternal side, and those interested in Clan Grant and the history Strathspey, Glenmoriston and Glen Urquhart.

The present Chief of Clan Grant, Lord Strathspey, welcomes you to the tent and invites all Grants and supporters to join in the Clan March to the Games Field. Assemble at The Nethybridge Hotel by 12.45
